My Wedding

My unconventional union is a symbolic act of love and protest, spotlighting my deep connection to the river and the urgent need to protect our waterways.

On my wedding day in June 2023, I vowed in front of witnesses to love and care for the river -

“until death do us part”.

My ambition is to help this River, my Avon, that flows through my hometown Bristol in sickness and in health. I want to allow others to fall in love with the Avon as I have for many years to come.

I will do this through poetry, peformance, ceremony, story, conversation and connection - we all move at the speed of trust.
